Right. I'm off to Thailand in the early hours. Wanted to pack light so I've opted for the XT1, 16mm and 35mm lenses. Couple of spare batteries and I'm away!

Ordered myself a 'step down hood' for my 18mm... Ultra stealth and will make it even smaller than it already is.

Which hood did you go for?

Looking for a bit of advice, hoping to buy either the 14mm or 16mm, apart from price is the 16 that much better. Don't want anything smaller than the 14.

The 14mm is a great lens but I m thinking of replacing it with the 16mm for low light situation and will use my 10-24 mm for landscape

I've ordered a 52-37mm step down ring. Might look s*** but at £2.09 it's hardly a big deal.

Having had a Sony a7r for the past couple of weeks, I've now decided that I want an X-T1 instead. Plus one of those Speedbooster things, probably.

Won't get either though as I'm told I need to pay for a holiday instead lol

Shot a lot with the 35mm yesterday...feels like having a new lens on the XT1. I'm well chuffed how much more performance the old dog has in it following the recent firmware update.

I had an 18/2 and didn't think it was rubbish Only sold it as I needed the dosh and as your one and only lens was too wide, but IQ wise I thought it a cracker

No point having 1.4 if it ain't sharp. At least the newer model should be on the money like the newer lenses.
