The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Well yesterday I had GFX50S + GF32-64 + X-T2+ 16mm + 18-55mm + 90mm +X100F plus Manfrotto 055, it was just about bearable, we walked over 25k steps and probably did about 2000ft of height gain. I'm going back next week, thinking of just taking the GFX and leaving the X-T2 at home.

I think if I did go GFX50S I would only want to carry about one lens. The main issue though is that you really need to be working at F16 so if you want ultimate IQ it really is a tripod based event, especially when working a dull light (like yesterday). It was exceptionally windy and often we needed a higher ISO than ideal even on a tripod in an attempt to get something sharp and even that didn't always work.

I've got it for a week, so probably best to give a full answer in a week's time!

Have you revisited the idea of Sony a7r series?

Just seen that there`s one on MPB

T he weight issue is going to be less of a problem the more fitter/younger you are.
As you know I was lusting after a GFX for a while and to be honest if your doing landscapes and working off the tripod it would seem ideal. Personally If I was going down that route I would have a GFX50 and the 32-64 along with a T20 with either the 14mm f2.8 or the Samyang 12mm and the Fuji 55-200. No idea what that would weigh not to bad I wouldn't have thought and for me it would cover all the bases for landscapes.

this is cool. although this instantly makes me want to see Vader lifting a victim into the air with the force choke.

Thanks, Jonathan :)
Lol unfortunately I don`t have a Vader :( ... Might have to invest ;)

XT3 IS problem kind of resolved....
So after messing around for ages, I decided to take the lens off with the camera turned on, and put it back. we now have IS working, although when in shooting only, it doesn't seem to be.
Still going to talk to Fuji tomorrow, but did manage a few boring shots today to test out the 55-200

Don't think I will be truly happy until I get my studio back up and a GF-X to go in it.....

Got to move first... :sorry:

Just had a quick look at the Black Rapid Sport Breathe.

I have a BR Sport which I always use with the 100-400, and generally with the 50-140. I also have a second BR strap to make it a "duo" and I can sometimes be seen making a fool of myself with a pair of T2's, and each of the above lenses :ROFLMAO:

The 'Slide' is very good, both myself and my wife have them, easy to use, I prefer a crossover style strap most of the time and this fits the bill very well. Just make sure yours get delivered with latest camera connectors, as there was a recall (Peak Design will send you replacements if required)

Also they should not be threaded directly through the Fujifilm body eyelets but should be affixed to the triangular connector (or a replacement round one). The body eyelets actaully have a metal cylinder sleev in them, and this can over time chaff through the peak design cord.

Thank you all very much, looks like it will be the Peak design one, plus I will get some round split rings too. Then I MUST stop buying.

What shoulder straps do members use when they have the XF50-140mm on a camera ?

Second Peak Design Slide ... Great straps, but since moving from Nikon to Fuji (and only having primes), I`m going to get the Slide Lite at the nec, so my Slide will be in the for sale section after that ;)

I have a slide for the x-t3 and heavy lenses and the slide lite for the x-t2 and the smaller stuff.

What a varied photographic day I had yesterday...the only thing missing from my repertoire was a Mk2 Escort! Quarries, trains, portraits and landscapes....

Alan, this is a great set, but that Rainbow image is bl**dy superb! It's like Turner painting!

Peak Design Slide here too... love it.
I always had Op/tech straps with previous kit but Santa kindly brought me the PD Slide Lite (after some subtle hints) and it's a very nice strap indeed, especially the way you can easily adjust the length and the grippy rubber bits on one side (y)

Thanks folks, I have actually ordered one earlier on.
