Fun in the Snow

Lots of snow on the outskirts of Edinburgh today so took the opportunity to try out the new Sonys.

Cheers, the exposure was tricky as the sun was in and out at times and the field had areas of shadow and light. The Sonys seem to do well in bringing back highlights which is handy

It was the eye contact that made this my favourite from the set. The snow on the face helped too. Thanks

No1 is an absolute cracker

I'm a Sony shooter may I ask what lens you used to get these Simon ?

I took similar shots of my Spaniels in the river -Using Sony a7Riv and a Sony 70-200mm f2.8 G lens

My guess is you used a similar focal length???

You are right, very slightly shorter as they were taken with the Tamron 70-180mm F2.8. It is a cracking wee lens. The exif details are on Flickr and unusually for me I was shooting at F4.5 as I had just shot a photo with my dog and daughter that needed more depth of field. That extra depth of field really helped with the first shot so got lucky and if light allows I might close the aperture a bit more often in future
