I did breakfast this morning for my son and I.
As I was starting the eggs, I remembered that
there are chives in the garden. I took a knife
and rushed out to come rushing in again and,
all excited, picked any camera to set the 105
macro on and out again on this grey morning.

In German they are called Polar Stern (northern
star) and this is the first day they are opened! :)

Went back in to finish the breakfast and, at the
end, I realized I forgot all about the chives! :(

I know not what this is... but it is in my garden:

If it doesn't move,
it is most probably a plant…
and a nice one at that!

Welcome Fi!

Apparently it is a grape hyacinth ;)

Thanks people.

Found this in the neighbour's garden!

These are nice…

thought the first one is much nicer because is
has a BG so it doesn't look like a studio shot!

Thanks Kodiak,

The 'studio shot' is just shot in front of a black drape. I have never had or will ever have a studio. :(

I wasn't taking you to task Kodiak, just explaining how I took the pic.

P.S perhaps I used your 1st pic as inspiration ? ;)

taking you to task

I try to have that translated but cannot understand it :(

Anyway, the centre of the flower has a stupendous glow to it!

…latest sunbeam…

This is my first post having just joined, I took this one morning trying to get the mushroom but got the grass instead, however I like the dewdrops on the grass so kept it!

I shall try a single bloom

This single bloom, which seems to be the other variation
thread opening flower, has the merit of better colours and
natural BG though the vignette is a little heavy shall I say?

I love both varieties!

Couple more.

A rose from my garden...

Great in details and rich in tones
this a jewel of freshness…

Thanks for the pleasure, Marie
