In the last couple of months we have seen more sparrowhawks from the back garden than in the last five years. I hope a pair are taking up residence.

This one popped in today.

Far from a decent shot - the light wasn't great, the lens isn't great, my photographic skills aren't that good and it was taken at an angle through double glazing.

Thanks all. I was just pleased to see it. Having it stay long enough to get the camera was a bonus.

Agree Gramps. I don't think they do just casual looking around.

I'm confused by the white spots. I wondered if it is a young one from last year.
