Snagged a bit of time of work and booked into hotel at glen affric for a couple of nights in a fortnights time- hoping for some lovely colours and nice light but thats my optimistic side

Coming from south of edinburgh my plan was for an early start and stop of at loch an eilean at rothiemurchus for sunrise with hopefully some autumn mist and then travel on to affric.

Never been to affric before and would welcome advice on sunrise/sunset/ daytime options for the area. Not looking at glencoe, skye, torridon trips , etc, this is a trip to focus on glen affric area.

For sunrise and sunset times and angles have a look at The Photographer's Ephemeris. The WalkHighlands site excellent for getting an idea of an area. It has lots of walks all over Scotland all of which are accompanied by a number of photos so, even if you don't fancy the walk, you can get an idea of what is in the area.
