Woke up at a stupid time this morning so instead of trying to get back to sleep i headed to the Glencoe area.I was there an hour or more before sunrise but the place had thick fog and mist.I was hoping to get some nice morning red skies but it wasn't to be.After a while the sun started burning up the mist to reveal blue skies.Left about 9.45am to drive home but it was looking to be a beautiful day up there. In this image you can see the remains of an fogbow which went from one end of the lochan to the other just like a rainbow but without the colours.

Lucky sod.

I'm jealous. It looks like it was worth the drive and wait.
Nice pics BTW :)

Shame about that mist, I like the ice halo, a unique looking bit of weather pattern.

I think I'd want to you to lift the shadows a little in one, or have used a stronger ND grad just to get a bit more light in to expose the foreground rocks and island more, but hold the snow and sky back

Very beautiful captures Mark.
I wouldn't care if it was a fogbow or ice halo...I'd just be chuffed to have got it :)
