Lovely birds aren't they? They are becoming a favourite of mine.
I had my 7D up to 2500 ISO today and was still only getting 1/500sec at f5.6, the light was pretty flat, although with a bit of ETTR, the shots came out very usable.
Nicely captured Russ, always nice to see one on a teasel.

- Yep, I always shoot to the right and use LR5 to make minor post-processing adjustments and noise reduction as in this image,
