You're quite right...I'm always pushing my limits and sometimes, it just doesn't work. Need to break the habit really..

No harm in that specifically, but I think you are losing keepers for the sake of maybe 1/60 th extra...

Whwn its bang on, its awesome, but for me, the margin of error is very tight,,,,,

I usually go on the Friday but went down to Fairford instead this year, I'm loving the panning shots by the way. To be honest there aren't too many places where you can capture the action on the hill and remain being creative there, without people and straw getting in the way.

You’re right, hence the real low shutter speeds at the top of the hill - I needed to shoot “through” people.
