Grebes

The GCG is a familiar visitor /resident at the marsh
but the little one… I haven't had the pleasure yet!

The Little Grebes are great little characters Daniel, very active and always diving down for a fish. :)
 
Gorgeous little grebe. I have yet to get one close up but I will, one day.
I think it was your photos I saw in the latest WWT mag - peregrine vs wigeon vs buzzard? A good write up by Martin to go with them too. Good stuff :)

Thanks Jan, it was so bent on finding a fish that I don't think it noticed me at first ... when it did it shot off in the opposite direction.
Just saw my photos in the WWT mag, I didn't know Martin was going to do that, it was quite epic on the day :)
 
Lovely lttle grebes - you have captured their subtle colouration very well!
