We get quite a few of these, this one was last September. Happy to report, there were 4 at my hide, Sunday past.

Great images, both of them. After having no greenfinches in my garden for a couple of years happily they seem to be making a comeback. I've noticed that the green and gold finches aren't that happy about sharing a feeder.

I have at least 4 that come to our garden, it may be more. It's good to see and hopefully they are gaining numbers.

They are lovely birds.

Goldfinches are very feisty, they seem to scoot off most birds, even ones larger than them, inclucing greenfinches. I'm trying to capture squabbles just now and these 2 had just finished one. The light has been pants though, only suitable for perched, static birds.
