Grey Heron

I've encountered one like that, got to around 25-30 yards away , wan't giving a monkey.

Apparently, when they are so used to seeing people around, they eventually decide they aren't a threat and just get on with looking for lunch !

I was around 30 yards away from one last week, only had 80-200 with me unfortunately.

Was happy with me snapping away with a loud D700. Only buggered off around 2 mins AFTER I put my drone up for a few shots.

p.s. Looked like the same bird I got 20 keepers from at another local river.

That`s some great detail in this shot and that eye is crisp as a crisp.
There was one at Bushy park (Richmond) that didn`t give a hoot either, 3 feet away, yes 3 feet :wideyed:
 
Flippin eck, that's close. Lovely detail in it too.

Ours here are very wary, can't usually get anywhere near them.
