Thanks ,the second shot i tried slowing the shutter speed to get the water smoother ,i took a gamble in getting the bird sharp as they do move a lot ,its always worth a try as sometimes it can pay off ,i will admit on this ocassion i reckon i just about got away with it but room for improvement

2nd one Den, very nice, superb pov and certainly different

The first is very nicely posed to show off the bird but the second really does it for me. They are lovely birds I don't see too often when I have a camera to hand, especially close up. I don't think I've ever managed to get a shot without some movement in the tail. They're certainly well named!

They certainly are very fidgety birds
