WAIT JON! I made a big mistake…

I called my daughter to let her see the shy cat portrait…

"Yeah, it's cute but not lively enough" she said.
"Maybe Jon likes it like that… it's a cool take, IMO,
and maybe the cat has such colours!" I replied.​
"…let me try something…"

There we go again, this is Anna's tweak…
I think I know her father! :wacky:

Ha ! It is a livelier brighter edit, but the cat is the more subdued colours of my pic... she's almost grey, rather than brown / fawn coloured.
This is her slightly better lit, didn't help she was hiding behind curtain on floor in 1st one :)

You will have to spend a lot longer with the model before she lets you photograph her :D

I think you've captured her timidity quite well tbh, you can see it in her eyes.
She's a lovely colour.
 
She definitely doesn't look too sure about your intentions :) I prefer your shot to the edit as you've given her a bit more space, which feels more respectful of her evident feelings.
Also colourwise, she's what's called a 'blue tabby with white'
