Hanger 11's P40 Kittyhawk

Peter Teichman flew his P40 at Old Warden last Sunday and I've just about got round to processing the final batch.
At the time I didn't know that they had just finished filming in the Czech Republic in George Lucas's latest movie (still in production) called Red Tails.
This tells the story of the segregated Tuskegee Airman who flew from Italy in 1944 to protect the B17's on their bombing missions. I for one will be looking out for the film when it hits the big screen!
Hanger 11 liked the "ageing" paint job that was applied to the P40 so much that they decided to try and preserve it for this seasons airshow circuit.

Excellent Tim.......was great for the Kittyhawk to visit Old Warden and Give us the opportunity to photograph it.......in its 'Film' paint job......you caertainly captured all the angles here.........Cheers Barry

Thank you guys for the kind comments, this wonderful aircraft was possibly the star of the show, as far as I was concerned, hopefully might catch it again soon! It's not to be missed, a fantastic display.
