Hi All,

I'm new here and I had the fortunate experience of going out at the weekend to watch a friend fly his Harris Hawk. I've recently bought a Nikon D60 (only a week old) and these are the first continuous movement shots I've taken before and I would appreciate your comments.

I am also very new to photography and have recently been focussing on nature - I have some close ups I hope to post later.

Thanks for taking the time to look :)

As Ian said not a bad set but some do seem a little OOF /blurry
perhaps try a faster shutter speed?
They actually move a lot quicker that it appears ;) (Ian :D)

not a bad set, however always try to get the head in shot as it never looks great to have it missing ? also number 4 looks a little out of focus.

:agree: Also try having the bird to the right of the shot instead of the centre (or the left if its flying the other way :D) Search for the rule of thirds i found it handy to know (y)

Many thanks - never heard of the rule of thirds so will be going to look that up now, and the remark about the head being in the shot makes a lot of sense now I look back at the photos.

Great advice, very much appreciated.
