Male migrant hawkers captured flying among the reeds at Hampton Wick Pond in Home Park near Kingston-Upon-Thames. Hasnt been the best season weather-wise for dragonfly photography but fortunately last Saturday was a nice hot day and there were a few migrant hawkers about.
Slight crop Renu (the head would have been under the middle focus point). Taken with a Canon 100-300mm USM lens on a Canon 7D. I was thinking of switching to my macro lens as the hawkers were flying within the minimum focus distance of the lens at times.
