He Is Called Ron

Detail is superb in that.

What set up please?

Hi ya Dale thank you very much for the comment, it was taken with a Nikon D500 mm and a Tamron 150-600 mm G1, I'm only using that lens as my Nikkor 200-500 mm is back in for repair, I brought the G1 as an emergency back up last time it was in for repair :)
PS. click on the picture and all the exif is on Flickr :)
pps. you can see the full size shot there as well

Cheers Ian, thanks. (y)

I was wondering if it was FF or crop, one thing I've noticed since switiching to FF is the incredible detail in the files.:)

He'll be German then? (Herr-ron Sorry :coat: )

Lovely pose, cracking detail (y)

Great detail in the neck feathers, the Tamron is working well with the D500 :)

Many thanks for the comments, I really do appreciate them :)

I find it quicker on focus than the 200-500 mm gramps, doesn't like single spot focus though tends to shudder a little, not sure if it's the image stabilisation or the focus hunting very quickly, but works very well with 25-point dynamic-area locks on quick and is rock steady, still prefer the 200-500 mm though :)

Agree with the above comment from Holty, its superb, nice one.

Thank you holty and mex :)
