Help with this b+w

Took this a few years ago just need your opinion on me edit etc

For me... too dark to see what's going on, esp hands & eyes. Is it a soldier? A fire fighter? Bomb disposal?

Far too dark. The highlights need to be brighter and some sort of dim backlight or rim light would have helped to frame your model better

You could selectively raise shadows in the diagonal area highlighted by the light source to provide a bit more visual information.

Not too dark for me I love it. Although I'm on my phone not a calibrated monitor.
