Very good set Les, love the GSW on the handle :)

Thank you Roger- putting the Tamron 150-600mm to good use after as 3 month ;Lay off :)

+1 ^ and all with a smooth BG

PS looks like a nice e setup, are you able to say where this is located?

It is a nice set up - with several different BG's to swap as you please and the Hide can be found here-

The 1st GSW and Nuthatch… irresistible, Les!

@Lez325

Les, are these all full frame of crops? And if a mixture can you recall which ones are which?

TIA for the insight & feedback :)

PS just planning ahead based on your experiences there and FL's used.

Thanks all- as I said, a really dull windy day - exposure was a Biatch :) :)

All shot on a crop sensor Sony a77 Mk2 :) these birds come within 5 to 6 meters of the hide

you managed a day then Les - super shots

Stan

Yes I did finally manage a day Stan, I booked 8-12 and decided to stay on till 4pm :)

Lovely set up and what a nice chap Dean is

Les

good set indeed

Well, I have been given a voucher :D

Need to think when would be a good time to go? I surmise it can get quite booked......if choosing say a Sunday or Monday, is either of those likely to be 'better'?

Best to call Dean and ask for availability - I went on Saturday with 2 other people so there was only 3 of us in the hide- the reflection pool has seating for 3 so ideal for us- I suspect a Monday would be a better day -, unless you choose a Bank Holiday :)

Hi Lez

Thanks for the insight. Will have to look at the calendar and then get in touch with him to discuss as appropriate.

The GSW on the handle is my fave (y)

Although, you could quite easily clone out the food around its beak. You're good at PP Les, so I reckon it'd be a doddle for you :) Also wondering if you've shot it full frame or whether you've got space to turn it into a portrait showing the full handle?

The other GSW shots don't do anything for me as the food/bait is on show.

Hide sounds nice though :)
