quite a few of these about yesterday, but wasn't landing for long, a few seconds at most...
I managed to get a few shots of the high brown ,about six shots when it landed for about 5 seconds,
but pleased that two come out ok..this was my target species...well pleased...

Great shots, what lens were you using? I was out on Tuesday but got nothing, they were all too active and as you say there was only a few seconds to try to get close and focus.
 
#1 looks a little soft to me... still lovely pose and composed guess it could be TP compression.

#2 nice and sharp focus is very good and detail is great too.

could be a bit out of focus,bloody thing didn't hang about to compose..just rattled off a few shots...thanks, mark

the lens was the old sigma 180 macro...probable my favourite lens...
