No
Seems official, been sold to Brazil for £84M......but she was refitted 4 years ago at a cost of £65M.

She was the Navy's Flagship and AFAIK our only purpose designed helicopter carrier assault vessel.

The new QE will be our flagship but heh no aircraft for some time.......will they load her with helo's ???

In the meantime I read that 2 other minor vessels will become helo carriers but no mention of how much any mods they need will cost???

MOD works in mysterious ways their wonders to perform. Heard that the cost of trident is now going to be over £167 billion, for that they could have a full fleet and equip it.

Or put it towards a cure for some cancers and other conditions...

Doesn't quite work like that though...

The MOD have a budget hole, they have 5 new type 31e frigates in the pipeline and teh trident submarine upgrade programme. They are trying to balance the budget and at the same time provide work for uk ship yards. Part of the deal was that Babcock and BAE Systems would have the contract for the refit and modifications the Brazilian navy wanted. Then we control the spares for these ship variants, so they have to buy from us.
Even when the types go out of our active service, all spares are sold to a UK company, Leafield Logistics, who then sell to many militaries around the world.
