After a trek up Win Hill (that nearly killed me !), there was a little light breaking through. Just after some critique on this - I have not convinced myself I like 'open' landscapes like this (prefer something with a more definite subject matter e.g. waterfalls, lighthouses, etc.). All comments gratefully received

Those crespicular rays are rather dull and gray the image should be brighter IMO the histogram hardly gets near the right

Try brightening it up

I'd go further still with exposure but my bigger concern is the lack of foreground interest

I share your concerns. It's all about the light and although it's unusual I don't think it's special enough ti carry the whole image.
