A guest at the hotel just alerted me of a very young fledgling bird sitting in the car park actually by the cars. I went over to have a look and it was just sitting on the road chirping for it's parents attention.
As it was in danger where it was sat, I moved it to the closest sheltered bush as I could not see where it's nest was in the dark. It was quiet as I moved it, but chirped up again as soon as I set it on the ground.

Did I do the right thing after moving it from danger? I wasn't sure where I should move it to.

Under normal circumstances it's best to leave a young bird where it is and its parents will generally find it and feed it, however if it was in danger from cars then you probably did the right thing
