Hover Fly...

Not too shabby a shot that, I like the composition.
Looks like one of the more common Hovers.
 
It is Eupeodes luniger - a female. The spots on the abdomen don't reach the margins and you can just about make out the "Y" shaped mark on the frons. A very common, late summer species often boosted by immigration, and a frequent garden visitor. Nice piccie, but a bit over-sharpened for my taste!
