I'm pretty sure it's a hoverfly anyway! I'm not much good at insect photographs (and niether is my camera) but I was quite pleased with this.

Thanks. Unfortunately it's already a heavy crop, and on my 5.1 mega pixel camera a tighter crop would just kill most of the detail

Very nice shot Ewan. As you point out, a tighter crop just wouldn't cut it this time.
