How to post sharp photos

I'm taking raw images on a 45MP full frame camera, developing in LR and saving as jpeg with a 1200 pixel long side limit.
My photos on the screen at home are very sharp but when I post on here they go soft.
I don't have a Flickr account.
Any suggestions?

My best answer is get a Flickr free account and try again, If I post my photos on here even from my point and shoots I have to down grade the quality/file size before it will allow me to upload to this site anyway, never mind you high qual images.

I usually output at 1200 long side and 91 compression from Lightroom, and they are 'acceptable'. As suggested by Brad, for a better image quality you need a, externally hosted account that will allow larger file sizes.

I always save to my Flickr account with a 1200 px long side, and when I link to them from here the sharpness is fine.
