I have a mono-pod and previously not got on with it, but having heard a fellow photographer in a similar position and hearing him 'force himself' to get on with one, I decided to do the same and I am still not sure whether I like using it. This yesterday, Saturday, I went to Silverstone, my 'on-the-door-step' circuit for the HSCC International Trophy for cars from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. I am trying to improve my technique and take for more interesting racing shots to be proud of and I thought the monopod would, maybe, help me?

Generally, I am happy with the outcome of the shots I have taken, which is the main thing I guess, is there an area I could improve on and how.
