  2. It is with deepest regret that we announce the passing of one of our long-standing members, Gary Coyle.
Many visitors will recognise both his work as a sports photographer, and his name as a prominent community member. He registered with Talk Photography back in 2006, not long after the start of the site and has been a regular contributor since.

It goes without saying that Gary will be sorely missed by many members, and his passing is a huge loss to the photography community.

Our thoughts are with his family at this time.

    Funeral details :
    Dewsbury Crematorium
    Tuesday 13th September 2016 at 2pm.
Afterwards at Batley IDLC (Batley Nash).
    All welcome.

There is also a discussion thread here if anyone wishes to add their own thoughts.

Good shots here Rich, #1&3 for me with 3 being the stand out image, I love night time photography. I'm not sure about number 2, a bit more detail in the foreground area would make it a better shot imo??

    Good work.

Hi Rich, good shots with nice composition. 3 stands out for me by a mile! Lovely capture, can you clone the sign pole out?
The first two I think would have both benifited with two exposures being taken. One for the sky, and the other for the FG, to balance everything out!

2 is better as the bridge doesnt exhute rivets and bolts
the boat adds the maritime feel and in itself benefits from the over mantle of the structure

i am on battery here in the library and it says 30% left, but 2 does look as if it could use a bit of a 'lift' seeming dark to me
    cheers
