Looks like a Sedge Warbler to me also, Les - that pronounced supercilium is the best identification point I feel!

It's a willow warbler or chiffchaff, you should have been able to i.d. it by the song in the last photo - if you can remember how it sounded. Chiffchaff gives very distinctive chiffchaff sound and willow warbler give a very distinctive descending scale. It isn't a juvenile either, just a bit scruffy

That was my thought too, swaying towards chiffchaff

Les, as much as I don't mind you tagging me for IDs, you do know that most so far I've had to send to a couple of birding mates for ID and it's not actually me that has got them right

I'd say willow warbler or chiffchaff. Normally the latter has black legs, the former paler but it's difficult to tell the leg colour on these photos. It looks like it is beginning to moult.
