Now that reminds of the old BAC 1-11

The Russians & Chinese were, back in the day, very much copiers of aircraft deisgns.

PS I did say reminds me.....................the 1-11 had rear mounted single engines not the twins of this airframe.

How about the Vickers VC10 of which this is almost certainly a Russian copy!

Ah! yes much closer than the 1-11

Interesting article here that indicates that the Il62 was definitly not a copy of the VC10. Interesting read.
