So my ex booked a portrait session with you? Congratulations on capturing his “good” side so well – hope you charged him a fortune for such a flattering pic!

Joking aside, fantastic detail, lighting, DoF and the sort of shot that really makes me want to give macro a go. Think I’d have to stick to flowers though; the thought of a close quarters encounter with an insect that has a chin (let alone a hairy one) just creeps me out too much.

I used my Canon 100mm F2.8 lens (Probably had about 20mm of extension tubes on as well). Flash used was a speedlite 430 exII fixed via velcro and a lens hood!
