Infrared processing

Have just purchased a 2nd hand Hoya R72 Infrared filter so that I can have play and see what all the fuss is about. It's just one of those things I've got try!
Am Ok with the white balance correction (used DNG profile editor), but despite reading what I can, I am struggling with red/blue channel swap.
I have LR, Photoshop Elements 9, DPP 3 and DPP 4. Am I correct in concluding that none of these will allow me to colour channel swap?
I don't have - and don't want to purchase - a full PS licence. Is my sensible option GIMP?

IR channel swap has worked in GIMP from it's v2.8 release and onwards.

No idea about other apps as I use PS.

I use Rawtherapee for IR shots......it's a Lightroom lookalike and free.

Yes, it's got a fully flexible channel mixer.
