It's a Malaysian spider - any potential ID?

Yes
I'm in Malaysia - where it's usually pretty safe from a spider perspective - but spotted this on my wall when I cam home tonight, being around 8-10 inches wide was a bit of a big bugger (leg length more than body size of course). Any ideas of what it might be - other than a spider?

I'm having difficulty embedding them into the post - so apologies it's links only :(

Yes - I tried the embed option - I just get a big red cross instead of the image - but for some reason I'm having the same issue on my previous posts (hence I started a flickr help thread a few minutes ago) but seems like it's just me suffering here in Malaysia....

I see them ok, OMG what a monster that spider is, No idea on ID and tbh, you can keep it :exit::exit:

If i'm not mistaken it's a Fishing Spider also known as a Raft Spider similar ones are found here in the UK and can grow up to a hefty size.

Looks to me like a Huntsman spider
Looking at the description - this one sounds like the one - as it hunts gekkos - of which there are many here... So not poisonous - but an uncomfortable bite if it gets angry :) luckily I persuaded it out of the house with a gentle tap of a brush head... It jumped well, and imitated a crab shape in the way it tried to hide from me....
