Its been a while........Kingfisher

Stunning photo, well captured.
Where was this taken?
I thought we only had one species of kingfisher in the UK and the colouring on the head is different.

I'm not a twitcher and I'm still learning about birds, hence the reason I asked.
Surely telling me what it is would have been more helpful?

White Throated Kingfisher - (Halcyon smyrnensis)

posted as a Kingfisher, and as I said you can just see it's White Throat, which gives it it's name - seems obvious to me

Google it and you will see were it is found, if you look at his details, Neil lives in KL Malaysia

Sorry for some reason I haven’t been getting notifications. Yes it’s a white throated kingfisher....... they are quit common here in malaysia and have a distinct song.
