I haven't posted an image for a while, whilst learning bird photography. Theres Jackdaws which come to the garden most nights and I have been trying to catch one for a while, this is my best effort so far. I like it due to the eye contact, whilst I have lost some detail due to shooting through windows. Also found it difficult with the big shadow cast from our house.

I sold my 300mm f4 as it was too heavy for me, so I have bought a cheap Sigma 70-300mm APO for hand holding and will be looking at the SIgma contemporary 150-600 when released in Nikon mount for tripod use.

Too central. Needs space to the right.

Agree Brash way too central, I had to crop out her rotary line which is on the edge of the shadows RHS.

Looking at the pic again this morning with fresher eyes, there's also too much detail lost of the feathers. Will try and get a better shot as I like the grey head colour of these birds along with there eyes.

You just need to work a bit more on the processing side of things Simon.
