It did not take them long to work out that you reach down with your beak and grab the string,haul it up and hold it with feet whilst extracting the nuts.
Lovely shots. Our local jays come to within a few feet of the patio doors and one of them will start singing from the birch if I haven't been out with food that morning. They seem to love suet pellets as much as peanuts.
