Got to try out my new 70-300VR yesterday at the seafront at Penarth. Bright backlighting made exposure a bit of a nightmare...see what you think.

First time I've posted pics here so be gentle

look pretty good to me! Colours in #1 look great - is that straight out of camera? I have a 70-300 but its the cheapo non VR version and the colours on a D80 are really flat without some saturation adjustments in Lightroom.

I had to bump up the contrast and saturation in LR...the light was really harsh...to be honest I'm chuffed I got these.
