Oh what a night, decided to meet up with a couple of colleagues and head out to see what we could see in the sky. Ended up going to the wonderful Burgh Island which we knew would work at this time of year, things cleared rather nicely - this is a 11 shot panorama taken at around 3:15 this morning.
Techno geek bits Tamron 15-30 at 20mm, f2.8, 25 second exposures, ISO 6,400 on my 1Dx - final shot was close to 3gb in size - one of those rare nights.

Finally home at 5:30 to be greeted by 2 x very confused cats wondering if it was time to get up...

The streaks are a few of the numerous satellites. The Core of the Milky Way visible from midnight through to about 2:30 , so the best of it is over the horizon - But very pleased with the result. I will add a couple more, once the brain wakes up

Lovely, John.

By 05:30, our cat is contemplating a nap after waking us up!

Tremendous effort with a tremendous image :)
