Pic I took on my first camera (Olympus C760)....not an amazing photo, but nice colour contrast I think, and was one of the first closeup/macro shots I ever took....which gave me the bug...pun intended lol

I really like that - I've noticed that compacts and the like are actually really good for very close up shots, they seem to have much larger depth of field... great shot :)
 
Great 1st (?) post.

If you can then try tweaking the levels a little to bring out the eyes.

Thanks oldgit for the tip, looking at it after reading this i can see they were not as clear as they could of been...so here's tweaked version :) I also added a lil redish hint in there

Great first post, i fully understand what you say about getting the bug, macro photography opens up a whole new world.
