Nice. A little dark maybe but it's sharp as a tack. A little exposure tweak, or just brightness would lift it. You'd need to watch the whites though, they are not easy birds to expose for, that white bit behind the eye always seems to be the first to pop.
I like the leaves and the way they stop that part of the frame, keeping the eye in. I don't think they are distracting as the human eye will always go to red or eyes first.
