After 5 weeks in the hide, it finally all came together this morning.....

Superb sequence.....did it actually manage to line it up and 'get it down'?

Great set.
I've never seen a kingfisher with a frog before.

Ditto

As above, I do wonder if it actually managed to swallow it???

First time that I have seen one with a frog as well - It played with it for a few minutes (over 150 images!) and then dropped it in the lake.....sadly, it was too late for the frog.

I had been hoping to capture it with a fish, so the frog was a bonus!

Great effort and some cracking images.

They prefer fish but will eat almost anything, including frogs as seen, invertebrates etc.

Great set - I too have never see a KF with a frog, well worth the effort Glynn :)

I wonder if it died of a heart attack through fear or the equivalent. Just a thought,I don't know about these things.

A great set and 10/10 for persistence.

"Cracking" set of images Glynn, liking them all very much.

George.

great to witness and great photos

What a remarkable set of images Glynn.
It's also a first for me to see a KF with a frog.
Your persistence was well recorded.

Really good. Maybe tone down the highlights a little?

Ah, I'm already signed up to your blog, I see!

"Tone down the highlights a little"..........now you are getting technical. ;)

I don't have any editing software apart from Nikons, and highlight protection was on maximum. - I did once look at 'Lightroom', but decided a 3 year course at university, to learn how to use it, was beyond me at my age!
