Non UK Lake Kerkini (Greece)

I'm going here for a few days in a months time as part of a tour around Northern Greece. I was hoping my Fuji 55-200 would be enough to take for a few birding shots whilst on the lake boat trips. Has anybody been to this lake? do these trips get close to the birds? tips and ideas of good places to view the wildlife would be appreciated.

I would suggest a quick chat with a few of the boat captains and see if any of them have an interest or knowledge of the local bids. IME, they either know almost nothing or a lot. The 100-400 would be better but isn't cheap!

Thanks Nod. I have the 100-400 but wanted to keep things light. Yes I had it on my agenda to speak to a few boat owners, just wondered if anyone on TP had been there for any additional advice.
