Yes the front porch had a leak and a tiler has done a temp fix and coming back to fit new felt etc

So to find the where the leak was the plywood was so rotter in fell apart at a touch

so next was to strip it all away and fit battens to screw planks into on the sides

then start the repair using these

got this far at the moment. the front bit was a sod to fit around everything and add the air vents

Rain stops work but made a template for one side at the back. Just got to do other side then cut plank to the templates
When last bit fits it all comes down to countersink the holes and weather proof the hidden side. Then the final finishing either quadrants or mastic before adding colour which has to be brown

Yup we had the flat roof leaking slightly on the new house. Probably a poor patch from before so the suspect joint was sealed and the whole roof recoated. Hopefully that's it, the dehumidifier was working overtime

Today the tiler has repaired the roof and now all the boards have been treated on the top (unseen) side and fixed in position. Lamp now connected up and working and the cable hidden in void.

Next is to add quadrant edging where necessary and mastic up. Also there is a strip on each outside of the supports that need to have knotted pine strips added. then it all painted up
