I don't tend to do much mono, except in infrared.
This is one my favourites (it's not infrared), and I took it 7 years ago in New York. The smoke is actually steam coming from an open manhole cover.

Home built frame, Honda CG125 motor - but he has built one using a Savage engine too. Twin tube frame is stiffer and lighter than a single tube frame. He can pick it up! The plan is to ride it down to Italy in July with camping kit loaded, then do the Stella Alpina rally on it.
