Little Egret - with a twist....

.....at the end of it's bill! I didn't notice this twist until in pp work. I wonder how it copes with feeding?

Slimbridge hosted a Crane chick that had a short lower bill, about 2/3rds normal length but he/she seemed to get along okay.
Someone posted a Blue Tit here a while back that had a seriously deformed beak but still managing.

Never seen an Egret or Heron before with it though
