Went to see McFly at Leeds Academy on Wednesday night, no professional cameras allowed, but hate going to live gigs and not having a record of the event, so I decided to take along my old Minolta Dimage Z2 that I bought off ebay about 7 years ago and haven't used for quite a while. Was up on the balcony at the back, so wasn't holding out too much hope of any decent shots, but I think the Minolta did okay really, especially given the low light conditions :)

I think the results are more than acceptable given the equipment!

exactly ! I've seen alot worse shot on modern DSLR's

I am sure a couple of mono conversions and a tickle up in photoshop will have them properly rockin !

Dreadful band:thumbsdown::D Decent pics(y);)

Nothing wrong with a bit of noise... gigs are noisy places ;)

I have such a hard time shooting concerts, so I am easily inclined to giving out compliments - great job, considering the resources!

I don't know, maybe I've just been lucky but I really enjoy this sort of photography, just wish you could do it at more gigs! I love the type of group who says, forget what the rules say, we want you to get up and dance and take photos :LOL:
