It's a little bit 'talk equipment' and photo-share for not just the people who visit the Leica thread.

My usual options for live music are either two cameras with a prime each or a single camera with 24-70 2.8 zoom, these are fairly cramped pub conditions - so getting around with two cameras can be a bit of a pain when you crouch on the floor or excuse your way to the back of the room.

The Leica Q2 was released not long ago and one of the main upgrades was the 47MP sensor. Like the Q it has a full-frame sensor and a 28mm 1.7 fixed prime lens. The software has in-built 35/50/75 crop modes which, if used, are remembered and auto(soft)crop raws in lightroom.

A 50mm crop still has 16MP, and I'm very happy with the quality at this level of crop. So all in all it's nice to have a small bodied, fast aperture, full-frame camera with this versatility.

Typically shot at around 1/125th, f1.7, ISO1250
