There's a new? area around the back of the station - I'd never been there before today, the light seemed great for portraits, so I asked Louise to let me practice.

I am still very much a newb when it comes to portraits, and processing them - but I've decided to accept failure as part of the learning process and to just get out there and do it. I probably need to do research before hand, I only have a very basic idea when it comes to instruction.

A nice set of images Dan, I particularly like the colour toning in them.
My only critique I can add is that I'd like to see some eye contact.

thanks, are you suggesting every portrait needs eye contact? or that if you show a set at least one should?

Not at all Dan, its just that the set posted above are all similar in their expression. Some eye contact draws the viewer in more.....IMHO.
