Lliw valley when the sun shone......

I like the shot very much but I'm not sure…
the lack of micro contrast and micro saturation suggests me
that you may have forgotten to DRL your RAW file first!

DRL = Dynamic Range Level = black and white points settings.

That photo was actually an edited jpeg, using Windows Photos on my Surface RT.

If I had used my Olympus Viewer 3, and edited the RAW, I am still unsure what the black and white setting are??

Sorry to be ignorant, but I don't mind learning.

Next photo was the RAW edited in OV3.

LLiw Valley 2. looking from the dam south or to put another way, look from the dam in a southerly direction.

RAW photo edited to a jpg...

Better tones and details and range!
…and a good shot too!
Sorry to be ignorant, but I don't mind learning.
Don't be, we're all here at different levels but all for the same reasons…
girls and whiskey! Just joking!

Girls and whiskey sounds good, but alas on the wagon now...

I have re-edited the first shot from the RAW file

Alas no. Just stopped that pleasure for a while...........(whiskey) :(

To put a bit more colour in I can increase saturation. Also increasing the colour temperature warms it up a bit, but is probably the same thing.

Camera was set to vivid anyway, rather than natural. So not sure quite how far to go really. The first one looked quite flat on Flikr, so I have replaced that with the second one as here.
